How Many ConE Programs Are There?

In order to better understand the landscape of construction management education, I am looking to find out which degrees are most coveted by construction management and general contracting firms – primarily for entry level positions. The two main degrees that I come up with are Construction Management and Construction Engineering. As I review the various sources for C-School rosters, I see that both ASC and ACCE provide a great start. To add to this list, I came across the following list of Construction Engineering Programs in the US News and World Report:

  • Bradley University
  • Iowa State University
  • National University
  • North Carolina State University–Raleigh
  • North Dakota State University
  • Oregon State University
  • Purdue University–West Lafayette
  • The American University–Cairo
  • University of Alabama
  • University of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign
  • The engineering accreditation (ABET) website is down, so I can’t verify if the list above is complete with regard to Construction Engineering Programs. Can you add any other ConE Programs to this list?

    1. Mike Says:

I think the list you have here is the complete list of ConE programs, unless you want to consider Construction Engineering Technology (TAC/ABET accredited) programs as part of your list of Construction Engineering programs.
